Dear students: it is with heavy heart that we all heard Minister Fleming’s announcement that in-class instruction is suspended indefinitely. Like you, I am shocked that the year has been upended this way. Of course, this announcement is for the best, considering how important it is that we social distance ourselves to try to “flatten the curve”, as the experts say. I just want you to know that I am thinking of all of you. I imagine that many of you have questions, and that many more are feeling quite low about the possibility of Grad events being cancelled/postponed. Just know that your teachers are thinking about you, and that we are all in this together. Time will tell soon what the plans are for continuing/finishing the school year. It is such a fluid situation. All I ask is that you practice safe hygiene, keep your distance from others, and do what you need to do to maintain good mental health. If that means reading a book, playing games, FaceTiming friends, napping, snacking, being out in your backyards, baking, watching Netflix, hanging out with your family, etc., then do it. All the best to you. I miss you already, and I hope to see you soon. I will post occasionally to my website with any updated information regarding my courses.
Take care all of you. Stay healthy. Stay safe.
Warm regards,
Ms. Huff
Please note: I do my best to update my site as often as possible; however, it is students' responsibility to record homework and test dates when it is assigned.
